Your Child’s Surgery at Children’s Hospital
During your child’s surgery or procedure, we will do everything possible to make sure you and your child feel included, safe and comfortable. We consider you and your child essential members of the healthcare team. Please ask us questions at any time. Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery at Children’s Hospital
Some people think surgeons who operate on adults are also experts on kids. We don’t agree. Growing bodies are different from adult bodies. Even the way kids react to surgery – from anesthesia to IV fluids – is different. That’s why our surgeons are board-certified in both general and pediatric surgery.
Children’s Heart Center at Children’s Hospital
We offer the most comprehensive heart care in the region for infants, children and teens. In 2010, U.S. News & World Report ranked Seattle Children’s Heart Center one of the top medical and surgical heart teams in the country.
Transplant Center at Children’s Hospital
We offer comprehensive evaluation, care, compassion and respect to children and teens with end-stage diseases of the heart, liver, kidneys and intestine. Your child’s care will be coordinated by transplant specialists dedicated to giving your family the information and support you need all along the way.
Plastic Surgery at Children’s Hospital
Our Plastic Surgery team provides evaluation and treatment for infants, children and teens whose growing bodies need repair or reconstruction for a wide variety of reasons. Some may be present when your child is born. Others, such as scars, may come later.
