Nancy Unger, ARNP, MN, MPH, APN-BC, CWON, is a board certified advanced registered nurse practitioner (ARNP) in at UW Medical Center - Montlake and a teaching associate of General Surgery at UW School of Medicine.  She is also an affiliate instructor of UW School of Nursing’s Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Informatics.  Nancy holds certification in wound and ostomy care.

After a long career as a nurse, Nancy became a nurse practitioner to be able to provide comprehensive care to patients.  She enjoys building relationships with patients and families in order to better understand their health care needs and provide individualized and holistic care.   Nancy particularly enjoys empowering patients to care for themselves, as they are able. Nancy works on the colorectal general surgery service. 

Nancy’s clinical and research interests include general surgery, ostomy care, wound and fistula care, patient education and nursing research.
