Rachel Lentz, MD, is a board-eligible plastic surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery at UW School of Medicine.

Dr. Lentz specializes in reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery. She has fellowship training in reconstructive microsurgery and the surgical treatment of lymphedema, and her clinical interests include complex reconstruction following cancer or trauma. Dr. Lentz offers patients seeking breast reconstruction following mastectomy and lumpectomy a wide variety of autologous (using your own tissue) and implant-based reconstructive options. Additionally, she performs body contouring, aesthetic breast and body surgery, and gender affirmation top surgery.

Dr. Lentz embraces a patient-centered approach to her practice, and strives to offer each patient reconstructive solutions tailored to their unique individual needs. Her ultimate goal is to help each of her patients recover their physical sense of self and return to their normal lives following trauma or cancer diagnosis.

Dr. Lentz's research interests include improving clinical outcomes following reconstructive surgery, including strategies for achieving optimal outcomes in breast reconstruction. She enjoys teaching and mentoring residents and medical students.
