Healthcare Simulation Science – Get Involved

JOURNAL CLUB
Moderated by Victoria Roach, PhD. The Journal Club meets bi-monthly at 5:00pm on the 4th Tuesday of the month to discuss and critique academic journal articles related to healthcare simulation. Faculty, staff, residents, fellows and other healthcare professionals are invited to attend.
By participating this the journal club, participants will learn to:
- Critically read, interpret and present published data; appraise issues that affect simulation-based education in healthcare
- Articulate a question of interest correlated with the pre-selected topic for the journal club presentation and discussion
- Communicate and support opinions verbally
- Develop effective presentation skills during oral presentation
- Demonstrate professionalism and respect for others during group discussion
Date/time: September through June at 5 pm.
Location: Held Virtually
SIMULATION INTEREST GROUP
The Division holds a monthly simulation interest group meeting to provide opportunities for our community to connect around common interests and priorities in healthcare simulation education, training, and development. Each month’s meeting will feature a different topic for presentation/discussion.
These meetings are available in-person and via Zoom, and are open to anyone with an interest in healthcare simulation.
For more information, meeting schedules, or to join the Simulation Interest Group, please email Program Coordinator, Laine Ritter / rssched@
