Burn Educational Videos—Burns 501: Burn Pain-The Basics
The purpose of this short video is to inform patients about burn-related pain and introduce them to management strategies at the UW Medicine Regional Burn Center. We are striving toward standardization in patient education for acute burns. This is especially important with regard to pain management. The video was developed in collaboration with the Harborview Acute Pain Relief Service. The narrators are Dr. Shelley Wiechman, PhD, attending psychologist, and Mr. Rick Grimes, a patient recovering from burn injury.
