The University of Washington has a strong tradition of participation in Global Health. The University of Washington Department of Global Health was founded in 2007 and is now well-established with superb leadership.  We are dedicated to providing residents with opportunities to build knowledge, share experiences, and gain skills in global surgery. The Global Surgery Track exists for those residents who plan to pursue an academic career in global surgery, however the department also offers many activities for all residents interested in global surgery.
