Dr. David Miranda Awarded First Surgical Infection Society’s (SIS) Sawyer Award

Dr. David Miranda, second-year general surgery resident, received the first Surgical Infection Society’s (SIS) Sawyer Award. This new award is to recognize trainees for their outstanding abstract submissions, network with members of the society and to provide the means for trainees to attend the SIS Annual Meeting. Dr. Miranda will be accepting the award and presenting his paper “Examining Healthcare Utilization After Use of a Mobile App for Wound-care Follow Up in the Emergency Department (ED)” at the 2018 38^th Annual SIS Meeting.
