Bio:

I received a B.A. in Chemistry at Williams College with minors in Africana Studies and French Language. Following this, I completed a combined research year and master’s degree in Ireland, studying the relationship between advocacy, policy-making, and women’s health outcomes. I went to the University of Michigan Medical School, and in my final year, conducted a stakeholder analysis to assess the political priority for surgery, obstetrics, and anesthesia in Cameroon, before coming to UW for General Surgery residency.

Personal Interests:

Handstands, volleyball, all things outdoors (hiking, rock cllimbing, biking, watersports, snowboarding!), baking, and spending time with my family, friends, and dogs.

Clinical Interests:

Global Health policy, humanitarian action and sustainable development, health systems improvement

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

Manage yourself first.
You will disappoint your seniors, it’s ok.
Always do the right thing and be above nothing.
We don’t make sacrifices, we make choices. Know your “why” and hold it close.
