Bio:
I grew up in Stillwater, Minnesota, a small town located outside of the Twin Cities. I studied Spanish literature and gender studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with research in tissue repair after injury and human rights violations committed by physicians. After graduating, I spent a year in Chicago at Northwestern Memorial Hospital where I worked as a medical technician. I completed my MD degree at the University of Michigan Medical School where I was introduced to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After completing a sub-internship at UW, I feel grateful to return to the community within the Department of Surgery.
Personal Interests:
Music & concerts, running, pilates class, reading, skiing, digital design
Clinical Interests:
Microsurgery, oncologic reconstruction, women’s health, gender-affirming care, promoting care for under-and uninsured patients
