After graduating, I worked in clinical research in orthopedic surgery where I developed an interest in surgery. I subsequently received my Master’s Degree at Case Western Reserve University coupled with a certificate in Global Health, before I attended Saint Louis University for medical school and graduated with a distinction in Medical Education.

Why UW?
I chose UW for its supportive environment, which I was able to experience firsthand as a Sub-I. Not only that but also the plethora of opportunities that will allow me to further explore my passions such as pediatric and global surgery. Given its unique Level 1 Trauma Center covering the WWAMI network, I knew this would be the best place to get optimal training for my career as a surgeon.
What advice do you have for incoming interns?
Closed mouths don’t get fed! If you need help, advice, or have aspirations to do something in the surgical field, there is always someone that can help get you where you need to go or how to start.
