Bio:

I grew up in Statesboro, Georgia, and attended the University of Georgia where I majored in Biology and Spanish. In college, I became interested in exploring healthcare disparities, especially those that exist in Spanish-speaking communities in Georgia. I went on to attend the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. In medical school, I became certified as a Medical Spanish Interpreter and served as a coordinator for a large student-run free clinic that primarily served the local Spanish-speaking community. I developed a strong interest in surgery throughout medical school, and I am excited to continue my surgical training at UW.

Personal Interests:

Outside of the hospital, I enjoy playing tennis, pickleball, and walking around the city. I also enjoy travelling, reading, spending time with family and friends, and trying new restaurants and coffee shops around Seattle.
