Bio:

Originally from Laguna Niguel, California, I moved around often as a child but was mainly raised in New Market, Alabama. My experiences seeing differences in access to care inspired me to pursue medicine. I went to the University of Alabama at Birmingham for undergrad where I majored in Biomedical Sciences and stayed there for medical school. Working as a patient care tech in the trauma bay during undergrad sparked my passion for the field of surgery, and during medical school I further developed my interests in health equity, global surgery, and trauma/acute care surgery.
