Bio:
I’m originally from Colorado where I spent my time hiking, climbing, and skiing my way through the Rocky Mountains. I studied chemistry at the University of Colorado in Boulder and later received a master’s degree in physiology and medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. My favorite part of surgery is being a part of a team that takes a hands-on approach to solving problems for patients, while taking care of the whole person. I can’t wait to continue this journey in the PNW at UW!
Personal Interests:
Hiking, camping, swimming, learning to sail, farmers markets and extravagant home cooked meals, baseball games, Beli restaurant rankings, documentaries, enjoying time with friends at a roof-top bar
Clinical Interests:
Surgical oncology, surgical critical care, clinical trial design, global surgery, medical education
Professional Activities:
Alpha Omega Alpha
Why UW?
UW is uniquely positioned as a program that provides training across many different practice environments (public, academic, community, rural), high volume and acuity in the fields I’m interested in, and numerous professional improvement opportunities so I could build the career I want. All while being set in the beautiful PNW with my favorite activities near by, UW has everything I need in a program to learn and grow throughout residency.
