Bio:

I grew up in Knoxville, TN (go vols!!) before spending my first two years of college at Emory University where I studied Biology and Public Policy and spent time in Dharmasala, India studying Buddhism and Tibetan medicine. I then transferred to Boston College where I graduated with degrees in Biology and Women’s & Gender Studies. Between undergrad and medical school, I worked as a wilderness guide in Hawaii! I went on to pursue my medical degree at University of TN during which I completed year of clinical plastic surgery research at Stanford. As someone born with a congenital difference, I have felt the psychosocial and functional impacts of plastic surgery and am passionate about ultimately providing increased quality of life to my patients. I can’t wait for this next chapter in the PNW!

Why UW?

The people!! Both patients and providers alike. I am drawn to the vast patient and case diversity provided by the large(st!) catchment area afforded by UW and the WWAMI region and was inspired by the kindness and clinical excellence of UW surgeons.
