Bio:

My family is from Mexico, where I spent a large amount of my childhood. Most of my middle school and high school years were split between Washington D.C. and Ottawa Canada. By the time I was 17, I had lived in six different cities in three countries. I received my undergraduate degree and graduate degrees from Johns Hopkins where I studied chemistry. I eventually moved to Boston where I received my medical degree from Tufts University.

Vascular surgery, trauma, transplant

Why UW?

It is an excellent training program for surgery, in a great city.

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

Find out one or two things you want to keep doing in your free time during residency and prioritize them.

What do you like best about living in Seattle?

I really enjoy the atmosphere, and the variety of food.
