Bio:

The Midwest was my home for the first thirty-three years of my life. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout for my undergraduate degree where I was fortunate enough to be a four-year member of the collegiate softball team. After graduation, I spent quite a few years working at a couple different microbiology companies and performing opioid vaccine research before falling in love with the opportunities that the medical field offered. The University of Minnesota provided me with my medical education and gave me an opportunity to become a “golden gopher” which had been a lifelong dream. My current clinical interests are broad, and I am incredibly grateful just to have the opportunity to train in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington.

Personal Interests:

Hiking, camping, kayaking, sketching, motorcycle riding, listening to music.

Clinical Interests:

Hand surgery, gender affirming care, microsurgery, global health

Why UW?

The diverse patient population spanning several states in urban and rural areas initially drew me to the University of Washington. After partaking in an away rotation, I fell in love with the program. The residents and staff took me in as a part of their family as a visiting medical student, and the comradery was visibly apparent from the moment I walked through the hospital doors. The University of Washington is such a welcoming and accepting program that celebrates diversity.

What do you like best about living in Seattle?

The proximity to mountains, parks, and the water. There is always another adventure waiting for you.
