Bio:

I was born and raised in the greater Seattle area. I moved to Boston to pursue both my undergraduate and medical education. At Boston University, I was a part of the Seven Year BA/MD combined program and had a minor in psychology. Starting medical school, I knew I wanted to be in a procedural specialty. During my third-year clerkships, I rotated on Vascular Surgery and immediately knew it was the right specialty for me. As Vascular Surgeons, you operate all over the body, perform both complex open and endovascular procedures, and have the ability to work in many different practice settings.

Personal Interests:

I enjoy exploring local restaurants with my wife, walking my family dog, playing tennis, traveling, and snowboarding during the winter.

Clinical Interests:

Carotid Disease
Complex Aortic Aneurysms
Peripheral Arterial Disease
Vascular Trauma
Wound Healing

Professional Activities:

Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society
Society for Vascular Surgery

Why UW?

I’m drawn to UW Vascular Surgery for its unparalleled balance of clinical excellence, academic rigor, and innovation. The program’s high-volume, complex case mix and culture of collaboration align with my goal of becoming a technically skilled, thoughtful surgeon. As a Seattle native, returning home to serve this diverse community while training alongside leaders advancing the field is a privilege. UW’s commitment to mentorship and research uniquely positions me to grow into a surgeon who combines precision, compassion, and scholarship.

What advice do you have for incoming interns?

I have one piece of advice – enjoy the time from matching to starting residency. Please don’t study.

What do you like best about living in Seattle?

The best thing about living in Seattle is the unique combination of natural beauty and city life. You get access to world-class outdoor activities—hiking, skiing, kayaking—within an hour of downtown, all set against the backdrop of Puget Sound, Mount Rainier, and the Olympic Mountains. At the same time, Seattle has a thriving food scene, diverse cultural communities, and innovative tech and medical hubs that make it dynamic and intellectually stimulating. Plus, the mild climate (for most of the year) means you can enjoy the outdoors year-round.
