Bio:
I was born in China and grew up in Vancouver, BC. I moved to the US for college where I studied music and biology. My background as a pianist led me to pursue auditory neuroscience research, which then led me to a career in medicine. In medical school, my academic and advocacy focuses were on mitigating health disparities and anti-racism. I also completed an MPH with a focus on global surgery and population health in the Asia Pacific. I am thrilled to train at UW and come back to the Pacific Northwest, allowing me to give back to my communities.
Personal Interests:
Classical piano, gardening, cooking, reality TV, hiking, city walks
Clinical Interests:
Critical care, global surgery, public health
Why UW?
I chose UW for the incredible faculty and residents, the dedication to providing safety net care to a wide catchment area, and the abundant resources to support a variety of career paths in surgery.
