Bio:

I grew up in rural Northern California and attended the University of California, Berkeley for my undergraduate studies in Molecular Environmental Biology. At UC Davis School of Medicine, I focused on trauma surgery, rural health, and surgical education. I conducted research in surgical oncology and helped lead a service learning project for preclinical students focused on social determinants of health in surgical patients. I’m thrilled to continue my training at University of Washington, where I can develop as a strong clinical surgeon while exploring the intersections of trauma, equity, and rural surgical access.

Why UW?

I was drawn to UW for its dedication to training outstanding clinical surgeons, its commitment to health equity and rural access, and its incredible trauma and acute care surgery opportunities. After my away rotation, I was impressed by the sense of community, mentorship, and collaborative spirit.
