Bio:

I grew up in the two ‘T’ states and moved to the east coast for undergraduate and medical schools. Before medical school, I pursued a year of research on the effects of general anesthesia on infant brain development, which introduced me to the operating room and sparked my interest in general surgery. During medical school, I conducted research on identifying genomic biomarkers in pancreatic cancer, led a surgical education program for first-year medical students, and served as a peer-to-peer mentor for surgery clerkship students. I am incredibly excited to begin my surgery training at UW and live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Personal Interests:

All things outdoors with friends, long-distance running, opera, independent bookstores.

Why UW?

I am drawn to the incredible breadth and depth of training at UW, and the research track provides an excellent setting to pursue my interest in academic surgery. Seattle is also a phenomenal city with rich culture and surrounded by nature, and I am thrilled to call it my new home.
