Bio:

I was born in Ethiopia and grew up in Washington. In college, I studied biomedical engineering with a research interest in creating point-of-care diagnostics for low-resource settings. I was actively engaged in peer tutoring and mentorship throughout my undergraduate and medical education. Now, I am thrilled to join the UW surgical community, eagerly anticipating the numerous opportunities it offers and look forward to constantly learning and evolving to provide excellent care to my patients.

Personal Interests:

Writing, interior design, cooking, digital art

Minimally invasive surgery though keeping an open mind
