Bryce Robinson, MD, MS
Professor, Division of Trauma, Burn & Critical Care Surgery
My research interests include preventative strategies for the development of lung injury, mechanical ventilation, resuscitation of hemorrhagic shock, critical care sedation and analgesia, trauma practice management guideline development, and quality improvement. This work started with my participation in the PROMMTT and PROPPR trials investigating component blood resuscitation strategies in patients with severe hemorrhage. As a trauma surgeon with added qualifications in surgical critical care and the associate medical director for critical care, I regularly care for these patients. These patients have inspired me to study the mechanism, acquire knowledge, and ultimately apply learned techniques to reverse the course of profound injury and illness.
