Assistant Professor, Division of General Surgery

I am a breast surgical oncologist with health services/outcomes, clinical trial and translational research interests. My research is often driven by questions that arise as I treat my patients, and my desire to fill gaps in knowledge so I can ensure I am offering the most recent, best evidence based treatments to my patients. My research spans from improving management of breast cancer locoregional recurrence and high risk lesions such as lobular neoplasia to improving the understanding of how alterations in genes involved in the estrogen hormone biosynthetic pathway can impact breast cancer recurrence and survival.
