Research Interests

Dr. Friedrich conducts database and clinical research in aspects pertinent to hand and wrist surgery and reconstruction. Through this work, he has developed fruitful collaborations with the Harborview Injury Prevention and Research Center (HIPRC) and the UW’s Institute for Translational Health Sciences (ITHS). He has also been working on resident education research as an extension of his position as Director of the Plastic Surgery Residency Program.
